My latest Rifle - A little .40 cal East TN rifle . She has a 44" Rice barrel in an "A" profile and a Chamber's Late Ketland lock. Poured Pewter nose cap. What do you think of the original large cent inlaid into the cheek piece? Kind of cool I think. he double patchbox is a little different as well. All make this a pretty unique rifle. Oh, by the way, the new owner named her Penny.
Below is a very special rifle. It features a Steve Bookout, hand forged and rifled barrel. I shaped the stock from a nice straight grained piece of Iowa walnut. All the hardware is hand forged and the triggers are hand built. That's getting as close to made the old way as you can. She's named Wee Nellie and now resides in the Land Down Under with my good friend Brad. He has been kind enough to send me several pictures of he and Nellie so I thought I would post one here.
She's a .40 cal, 42", "B" profile barrel with a Chamber's Late ketland lock. Hand made triggers and guard. Stocked in nice Tiger Stripe Maple. She's a shooter too!
Here's a little .32 cal squirrel rifle I built. It's owner salvaged the beautiful piece of walnut from an old barn on his property. Talk about a keepsake.
