Ever have problems keeping your lock plate level when laying it on the stock and trying to figure out where line things up?  Try cutting a piece of wood the thickness of the bolster and in the shape of the lock panel.  Sure does help. 
I always try to get the same screw back in the same hole when working on a rifle.  This is a crude but effective way of keeping up with everything. 
The below jig / bending bars really helps out when bending trigger plates or barrel tangs.  Sometimes finesse is needed rather that brute force. 
This little device comes in very handy.  I got the idea from one Don Getz uses.  Thanks to Don for sharing.
